Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Review functional requirements documentation (FRD) and software design description (SDD) documents, and other system development lifecycle (SDLC) documentation
  • Conduct software design analysis
  • Perform requirements tracing
  • Perform test planning, execution, witnessing, and reporting
  • Conduct system performance evaluation
  • Perform user acceptance testing (UAT), integration testing, system testing, and operational testing
  • Document test results
  • Perform training evaluation
  • Conduct milestone reviews
  • Evaluating business processes for efficiency and effectiveness


  • 2 years of related experience performing IV&V activities for a Federal agency including :
  • Using automated tools such as the IBM Jazz Suite, IBM Rational Suites, HPE Unified Functional Testing, etc .
  • Conducting reviews of system requirements, functional requirements, and performance requirements
  • Creating test scripts, test cases, and detailed test plans to uncover, identify and document software problems and their causes
  • Performing user acceptance testing, integration testing, system testing, and operational testing
  • Documenting issues discovered during testing
  • Working directly with system users, government officials, and development personnel to collect, analyze, and develop information
  • Familiarity with multiple testing approaches such as waterfall, agile, etc.


  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business, information technology or a related discipline
